Affinity and Beyond - Easter Egg Hunt
Time & Location
About the Event
Affinity's Holiday Club; Easter Egg Hunt.
A Simple Egg Hunt for the whole family, whatever the weather.
Affinity is a support group created in May 2017 for families, friends and carers who care for a child (or children) who have had a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or on their pathway to getting a diagnosis. We are under the charity Unite Carers - Mid Devon and offer non-judgemental support and advice.
Some of the trickiest times of the year are holidays and not because of the dreaded feeling of 'how am I going to entrain my children for that length of time?!' or 'how on earth am I going to be able to get the child to leave the house?!'. Its the change of routine, after we just got use to the previous one, the tiredness and uncertainties of what is going on.
We hold our Holiday clubs throughout the year, as much as we can to give the family a safe environment to explore, that your child will grow to remember and love.
Not only are we going to have a named flag hunt (for everyone's main eggs) We are also going to hide golf tee's to find, find 10 tee's and they can exchange them for a small chocolate, hopefully the children will work together and help everyone find their flags and the right amount of tee's. Adults are welcome to join in on the fun too!
For this event booking is essential and there will be a small charge. A form will be available to download from our Facebook group and at our support meetings. Each booking entitles the person named a medium sized egg and a small chocolate. If you or your child has a particular type of egg they would prefer or something they will not like you can inform us of this on the forms.
As normal drinks will be available; tea, coffee and squash, please feel free to bring anything else you might like to drink.
I would like to say a massive thank you to Heathcoat Primary School for letting us use their community room and grounds, its a beautiful enclosed safe environment with parking available through the main school gates.
